Kelsey's Bio:

The Food Revolution Begins NOW!

As a person passionate about the environment and a lover of the outdoors, stuffy offices aren’t for me. My parents taught me growing up the value of respecting the earth and I’ve taken it further than they probably would care to admit.

Once I realized my destiny was rooted in the earth, like you I became a local food  supporter. This blossomed into sustainably. I realized in order to live the “Eco-Life” I want for myself, I needed to learn how to grow my own food. This began my farming journey and I’m loving every minute. I’ve never had a job I’ve enjoyed more and take so much pride in.

I started out volunteering on farms to learn some basics and last year made the move to Alaska where I worked on school gardens. It’s here I really used my passion for local, organic food to teach children where their food comes from, change their eating habits, get them outdoors and most importantly creating interaction and support in their local community.

Coming back to MN I knew I was forever a farmer. I was excited to become your grower for this season and I thank you for giving us your community support and realizing the importance of eating local, organic and fresh food.

Good food brings people together.

Fun Facts about Kelsey:

-  I’m a carrot snob and junkie, but I’ve never eaten enough to turn orange. Or I’ve built up too big a tolerance.

-  I love to break out into song without warning while working.

-  I’m an obsessive re-user and recycler.

-  Cooking/baking is sweet.

-  Building a compost pile is my favorite farm thing to do. I love turning garbage magically into fertile manure that feeds my babies and builds top soil.
