The Farm of Minnesota

The Farm of Minnesota, located between Hutchinson and Dassel, MN, is owned and operated by Dan and Donna Moe.  The Farm of Minnesota operates primarily as a CSA.  CSA's (for Community Supported Agriculture) are a way for the food buying public to create a relationship with a farm and to receive fresh fruits and vegetables directly.  Here are just a few of the benefits to this arrangement:

- You know by whom, where, and how your food is being grown.

- The produce you receive from The Farm typically has more nutritional value than food that has lost some of its nutrients in storage, or being transported long distances.  Just because an item is labeled “organic” at the grocery store, doesn’t mean it came from a local farm!

- You are directly supporting a local farmer, without any middlemen, which means every penny goes back into the food you receive!

CSA’s are not a new concept, but they are springing up everywhere as people learn more about them.  In 1990 it was estimated that there were 50 CSA's in the entire United States.  Now there were well over 2,500 and more spring up every year.

The Farm has been in our family since 1945, and we take great pride in and care of our fruits and vegetables. In addition to the CSA program, our produce is available at our road-side stand, and in select local markets.  We also provide our farm-fresh ingredients to local restaurants and other businesses.

Our desire to provide only the healthiest food has led us to transition The Farm to organic. We are passionate about providing great tasting, highly nutritional food.  Remember....

"If it's not good enough for our table - we won't put it on yours!"
